Fete time 2019!

Our annual fete is coming up! Saturday, 26 October, 10am to 3pm at 18 Wimble Street, Parkville. Head down for lots of activities for the kids and the star of the show every year - the bake sale bonanza! There will be delicious food for everyone and it's a great opportunity to check out the Centre and our little community if you might be interested in enrolling your little one.

See you there!

Wimble Street Childcare Cooperative Cookbook 2018

Wimble is excited to announce the launch of a beautiful new cookbook available for sale just in time for Christmas! The perfect gift! All moneys raised from the sale of this book will go directly to Wimble Street Childcare Co-op.

The cookbook is a compilation of recipes from family and friends of Wimble Street Childcare Co-op. With contributions from international best selling authors Hetty Mckinnon (Neighbourhood, Community and Family) and Emiko Davies (Florentine, Aquacotta and Tortellini at Midnight) and local authors Hayley McKee (Sticky Fingers, Green Thumb), Julia Busittil Nishimura (Ostro) this is an amazing compilation of baking recipes for any home. Melbourne based chefs and cooks have also contributed including Nat Paull (Beatrix Bakes), Brian Edwards (Monsiuer Truffe, East Elevation), Cassie Lucas (Firecracker Events) and Master of Cheese, Will Studd.

Big thanks to Sarah Trotter for all her hard work in compiling this beautiful book and to all of the Wimble families who contributed recipes!

Wimble Trivia Night 2018

The 2018 Wimble Street Trivia Night was a hit as usual. This year we were treated to MC Jess Mcguire and Max (also known as Nancy and Judy’s dad) was an excellent quiz master. The dessert bar and cheese plates were delicious and the raffle and silent auction items were the best we’ve ever seen! Looking forward to next year.

Thank you to the Wimble families that brought along family, friends and colleagues, donated to the Silent Auction, bought wine and food on the night, and bid on the auction items. It's a lot of work to organise an event like that and it makes it worth it to see everyone there and having a great time.

Wimble Bake Sale

This year Wimble was thrilled to add a new fundraising event – the Wimble Bake Sale, supported by Market Lane Coffee. Like absolute champions the Wimble community turned out in droves to spend up big on cake and coffee. Well done team, it’s a tough job.... Pictured here are two of our super organisers, Sarah Trotter and Nadia Mizner, Wimble’s Fundraising Director in 2017 and 2018.
